Event Details

The East of England Development Agency would like to invite you to attend a FREE practical workshop designed to demonstrate how the IT you probably already have can help you boost your business when times are tight and you need to make the best use of your resources.

This two and a half hour session will show you how to maximise your IT to save money, win more business and manage your finances more effectively.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is suitable for owners / managers of established businesses in the East of England. It is not intended as a course for businesses which are not yet trading. Other courses are available through Business Link East for pre-start up businesses.

What will I learn?

  • How technology can help you manage creditors and make sure you get paid on time.
  • Quick and simple ways to use IT to win more business from existing customers.
  • Low-cost, IT-driven marketing techniques to help your business stand out from the crowd.
  • How to use technology to save money by working smarter not harder.

This workshop is part of the takeITon campaign, an initiative designed to help small businesses improve their understanding and use of IT.

Where is it being held?

The workshop is being held at three venues across the region.

  • 18th February – The Fielder Centre, Hatfield
  • 26th February -  Pontlands Park Hotel, Chelmsford
  • 30th March – Holiday Inn Ipswich-Orwell

The workshop will be led by Derrick Cameron, an IT professional who specialises in taking the jargon out of IT and explaining how IT can help businesses streamline their processes and transform their performance.

There are two workshops available on each day:

Morning session

  • 9.30am – 10am – registration
  • 10am – 12.30pm – seminar (to allow more time for questions etc)
  • 12.30pm – 1.30pm – networking lunch

Afternoon session

  • 1.30pm – 2pm – Registration
  • 2pm – 4.30pm – seminar
  • 4.30pm – 5.30pm – networking with tea/coffee

Morning sessions will be followed by a networking lunch, where delegates will have the opportunity to seek advice from a specialist Business Link adviser and find out about the other free help and resources available via takeITon. Afternoon sessions will be followed by a networking opportunity with tea and coffee.
